FAQ

For the curious…

  • Welcome Party
Tropical chic attire. Think colorful dresses/sets, fun patterns, and linens. The party will be on the beach, mostly in the sand, with some dancing on a hardwood deck.

    Wedding Ceremony/Reception

While suits, ties, and gowns are not required, we do encourage guests to don their best semi-formal wedding attire for our celebration. Think similar attire to the welcome party, but elevated. No athletic wear please.

    For The Gentlemen
We suggest long sleeved button downs with slacks. Blazers optional. Dress shoes, loafers, or boots recommended.

    For The Ladies
We suggest cocktail, mid-length, or long dresses. Flats, wedges, or block heels recommended (the ceremony/reception are in the grass...stilettos are not advised 😬).

    Pool Party

Come as you are. Swimsuits, coverups, flip flops, and temporary tattoos (provided). If you muster the strength to make it out of bed to this final party you'll be welcomed in whatever you are, or aren't, wearing.

  • Weather averages 75-80°F daytime, 70-75°F at night. All events are hosted outdoors rain or shine.

  • BIG thank you for sending your flight information to the Sublime Samana. Everyone will be receiving an email roughly 1 week prior to your arrival with confirmation of your pick/up drop off and instructions for when you arrive at SDQ.

  • The town nearest to Sublime - Las Terrenas - has grocery stores, restaurants, and other activities.

Complimentary shuttle service to Las Terrenas is available twice a day (morning and afternoon). Please check with the Concierge for exact times and details. Taxi service can be easily arranged...the trip is between 15-20 minutes and costs US$20 each way.

  • We encourage you to leverage the shuttle services we have coordinated to and from the airport. If you prefer to drive, you are welcome to park on the premises of the Sublime Samana or Viva V where they offer free parking.

  • A full list of spa and salon services can be found at sublimesamana.com/shop, and can be booked online, or with the concierge. These include massage, facials, body treatments, manicure/pedicure, hair & makeup, and more. We recommend booking in advance as these are subject to availability!

  • Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app GuestPix.

However, we would appreciate if you could refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and leave those to the photographers/videographers.

  • Please upload your best photos and videos to our shared album on guestpix! No app download or login required, simply go to meanttobb.com/guestpix. Feel free to upload as many as you’d like, anytime…even after the weekend is over!

  • If you are coming from the U.S., you will not need a power converter or adapter for the Dominican Republic. All of the plugs in the hotels are the same as the U.S.

  • If you plan on going directly from the airport to the hotel it is unlikely that you will need any cash. If you are interested in venturing into town at some point, then we'd recommend grabbing some DOP from an ATM at the airport when you arrive. Viva V also has a ATM near their lobby (if you ask the front desk of Sublime they can give you a ride to it or direct you).

  • Tipping is appreciated in the DR, but not expected. We are already covering tips for the transfer drivers, as well as all wait staff at our events.

For any other charges you make at the hotel, you'll notice an 18% tax and 10% service fee already added. At the end of the trip, you can add additional tip to your hotel tab when you check out if you'd like.

  • Viva V has an ATM, if you would like to use it you can ask the front desk at Sublime to take you there or to direct you to it.

  • There is a gift shop located at Viva V where you can find cigars, snacks, swimsuits, hats, sunglasses, water toys, liquor, medicine, toiletries, and more. The front desk at Sublime can direct you to this or give you a ride via golf cart.
